One of things that I really strive at when doing a client's session is making it about them. Whether it is capturing a new baby during a newborn session or it is capturing a senior, couple, maternity, child or family session. I strive at details that really show their true self in portraits. For newborn sessions, I like to surprise parents with fun props that match the nursery or that match activities, hobbies, sports that they themselves like to do and will be teaching their sweet babes as they grow up. I also love to capture some lifestyle portraits that just show them being a family. I bring all props, wraps, etc...(and trust me when I say I have it all - I have a whole room in my house dedicated to these props lol)...so the parent(s) do not have to worry about a thing and can just relax and enjoy this special time for them. The same goes for families, couples, expecting parents and seniors as well. I like to capture the traditional portrait and also the candid shots of their laughter - of them just being a kid, 2 people in love or a family!
